Hungry ATV riders in the Kennebec Valley Region would be well-served to stop by Poppa Jo’s Homecook’n in Brighton, just off the Old Kingsbury Road ATV Trail, on Rte. 151.

Joanne Goodridge is famous for baking delicious pies.

Owned and operated by the affable but tough-as-nails Joanne Goodridge, with the kitchen housed in a tiny trailer, Poppa Jo’s is a must-stop for riders—or anyone looking for tasty comfort food at a reasonable price. Menu items include pulled pork, lobster rolls, fried haddock, scallops, fries, salads, and more, but the real specialty is Joanne’s amazing homemade pies! These pies are incredible, and the offerings change daily.

Joanne Goodridge takes a customer's order.

Diners can eat outdoors on picnic tables or inside the adjacent building.

Poppa Jo’s also sells a wide selection of homemade jams and jellies.

The restaurant is open Thursday through Saturday, 11:00 AM to 7:00PM, as well as Sunday, 8:00AM to 3:00PM
