Two Rescued at Maine's Allagash Falls

Maine Forest Rangers rescued two people who became stranded above Allagash Falls on the Allagash River in Aroostook County on Wednesday, July 16. The unidentified pair were found huddled on a rock at the head of the falls, although it’s unclear how they became stranded or what type of vessel they had been paddling in. The rescue was achieved via a short-haul system and a helicopter. No injuries were reported.
