2023 Rangeley, ME, Birding Festival Coming Up!

The Rangeley Lakes Region of western Maine is blessed with an abundance of birdlife, and the annual Rangeley Birding Festivalis a great way to learn more about birding and see a huge variety of species in a single weekend. Hosted by the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust, this year’s festival takes place June 9-11, and features numerous guided trips led by birding experts and ornithologists, including a Loon Paddle, Bicknell’s Thrush Hikes, the Perham Stream Birding Trail Hike, and the Hunter Cove Wildlife Sanctuary Trip.

The Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust headquarters will open daily at 5:30 AM to assist visitors throughout the weekend and distribute nametags, hard copy directions, and answer questions.

Group Sizes: Birding Trips are limited to 10 participants and two guides. The two exceptions are Birds on Tap! and Forestry for Maine Birds.
