Several hiking trails on Blue Job Mountain in Farmington, NH, will be closed for approximately one week in December to allow for maintenance of the young forest and barrens habitat. The work will involve the removal of young trees, followed by a prescribed burn in the spring or fall of 2022 to maintain wild blueberries.
This is part of an ongoing program being conducted by Fish & Game, in collaboration with the NH Division of Forests & Lands.
Hikers are encouraged to check the kiosk at the trail head to confirm which trails are open.
