Get to know and celebrate Maine’s Katahdin Woods & Waters National Monument at the annual Woods & Waters Day on August 16. Held in Shin Pond Village, Mount Chase, the event will celebrate the 9th anniversary of Monument and nearly a decade of building community and outdoor recreation opportunities for Katahdin region youth and families.

The daylong (5-9) event is presented in conjunction with Maine Beer Company and Richardson’s Hardware. The day-long event includes:

Dinner catered by Moe’s Original BBQ

Beer on tap from Maine Beer Company (first pour is included in ticket)

Live music from Lazers in the Jungle

Ticket prices start at $40

A schedule of daytime events on Saturday and helpful resources to explore Katahdin Woods & Waters, including Tekαkαpimək Contact Station, will be shared on the event site and shared via email to registrants in the coming weeks.
