Maine to Host Free Ice Fishing Clinics

 

The Maine Dept. of Fisheries & Wildlife will hold a pair of free ice-fishing clinics where participants can learn the basics of the sport. See below to register.

Limited gear will be provided, and participants are welcome to bring their own.

Participants 16 years of age and older must have a Maine freshwater fishing license to participate in the clinic. You can purchase your license online here.

Dress accordingly for the weather as this event will take place regardless of temperature. In the event of severe weather, or if you have questions, please call or text Chelsea Lathrop at (207) 446-8692.

Clinic Details & Registration

On Sunday, Feb. 19, 2003, a clinic will be held on Lower Mousam Lake in Shapleigh. The clinic runs from 9AM to 3PM, and limited gear will be provided. Click here for more information or to register.

On Sunday, Feb. 25, a second clinic jointly sponsored by Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs, will be held on Pismo Beach on Thompson Lake, in Oxford. The clinic runs from 9AM to 3PM. Click here for more information and to register.
