Manchester, NH, Bus Service Facilitates Access to Outdoors

The swimming beach at Bear Hill Pond is popular on hot summer days.

The Nature Conservancy is making it easier for the people of Manchester, NH, to enjoy the outdoors by offering a low-cost shuttle from the downtown area to nearby green spaces on the first Saturday of each month through September. Residents can catch a bus at Veteran’s Memorial Park and head to a variety of outdoor venues within a 30-mile radius of Manchester.

The sites will change each month. The program kicked off on May 7 with a trip to the Massabesic Center in Auburn.

The round-trip is $5 dollars per person, and buses will leave from Veteran’s Park every two hours from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
