On November 5, Rhode Islanders will vote on whether to approve a $53 million bond towards investments in forests, farming, open space, outdoor recreation, wildlife conservation, land revitalization, climate resilience, restoration of the Newport Cliff Walk, and infrastructure at the Port of Davisville at Quonset.
Groups and individuals in support of the bond include Save The Bay, The Nature Conservancy, Audubon Society of RI, Rhode Island Farm Bureau, RI Governor Daniel McKee, RI House Speaker Joseph Shekarchi, State Senator Lou DiPalma, State Representative Megan Cotter, and DEM Director Terrence Gray.
