In this short film, you’ll learn the six easy steps to enjoying fresh-caught trout (in this case lake trout) taken through the ice. All you need is a portable stove, a frying pan, coating mix, butter or oil, and beer (optional, but recommended). Oh, and a cooperative fish or two!
1.) fillet fish and rinse in cold water
2.) place fillets in bag with coating mix (Shake & Bake Chicken works well)
3.) heat butter or oil (vegetable or canola) in cast-iron skillet until it smokes
4.) place fillets in oil; cook for 5 minutes or until done
